Elect Donald R. Setser Inez City Mayor
As most of you already know I am the program director of the Martin County Senior Citizens Center and I love my job very much. I am a life time resident of Eastern Kentucky. I am a 1999 graduate of Lawrence County High School. In 2004 I earned an associates degree in applied sciences from Ashland Community College & Technical College and In 2010 I earned an associates degree in Christian Education from Tripp Bible Institute of Marion, NC.
I have lived in Inez since November 2006. I am very active in my community. I am a volunteer with the Martin County Office of Emergency Management and serve as the emergency shelter coordinator. I have earned various certificates from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the U.S. Dept. of Homeland Security. I also serve as a member of the Martin County Public Health Coalition. In March 2009 I was elected vice - chairperson of the Martin County Local Emergency Planning Committee and in Nov. 2009 I was elected serve on the Big Sandy Area Community Action Program Board of Directors. In January 2010 I was ask by Judge Callaham to serve as a community coordinator with the U.S. Census Bureau to ensure a proper 2010 census count within the county. I am also a member and board member of the Golden Memorial United Methodist Church in Inez.
