The county court clerk is the chairman
The board meets monthly at 4:00 PM at the County Clerks’ office and the meetings are open to the public.
The board members are:
Carol Sue Mills, Chairman. Her term expires when she is no longer the county clerk.
Other members are:
Garmon Preece by virtue of his office as county sheriff.
Other members are chosen by Republican and Democrat party committees and are submitted to the state board of elections who approves the appointments. Terms are 4 years and expire upon appointment by the party committees.
The Board of Elections has no budget, receives no revenues and incurs no expenses. It works like a management team managing the elections.
